New Year’s Resolution…but it’s May already!
Hello everyone and welcome to my blog.
My name is Marc Margate, blogging from the Island of Vieques in Puerto Rico. I am an Internet Marketing Newbie.
After years of trying to build an online business without any success, I decided it was time to get some coaching. If other people can build successful businesses online, I’m sure I can too. I just needed someone to show me how.
A few weeks ago, I joined Alex Jeffreys’ Mentoring Program – Marketing With Alex 3.0. I believe this is Alex’s last Live Coaching Program and I feel fortunate to have gotten in.
One of the success tips that I learned from Alex during our first Mentoring Session was the idea of keeping a Journal to keep track of my progress to have a place to record my thoughts, ideas and revelations. A place to keep track of what is and what isn’t working.
And here it is – my Journal – my Blog
My purpose in publishing this blog is threefold:
- To document my Journey in transforming myself from a Marketing Newbie to being a Successful Marketer
- To hold myself accountable to you my readers amoxil generic in following through with the action steps needed to be successful
- The share the knowledge gained from this process with you my readers and my fellow Newbies who want to embark on the same Journey I’m taking.
The Perpetual Newbie
When I was in college (many many moons ago), I’ve met some people who have been at the university for more years than they should have. They never graduate. They just keep on changing their major area of learning, jumping from one major to the next, and the next…etc.
I’ve also met students who do stick to their major, do manage to graduate with a degree but instead of going out into the real world and making a contribution to society, they stay in school and go for another degree and then the next and then…you get the picture.
We used to refer to them as professional students or perpetual students. They are stuck in school – stuck in the learning process.
Fast forward to today and taking stock of what I’ve done as a student of Internet Marketing, I shudder at the thought – I’ve been that professional student, jumping from one ebook to the next, jumping from one Marketing course to the next, Always searching for the Secret Code, the Magic Potion, or the Silver Bullet. I am the Perpetual Newbie.
The Newbie Curse.
In the process of trying to build an online business, I have unfortunately acquired a common disorder that plagues Internet Marketing Newbies worlwide – Internet Marketing ADD (Attention Deficit Disorder). Which often leads to an Addiction to “The Hype”
We tend to be distracted by the latest and newest offer, the newest secret revealed and don’t forget the Mega Bonuses that go with them.
Have you ever purchased an Internet Marketing Product that you “Just Have to Have” cuz it came with this Mega Bonus. Only to be trapped in a never ending spiral of one time offers and upgrades and downgrades and unannounced bonuses and each of the bonuses had their own one time offers and upgrades and downgrades that came with their own bonuses…etc…and after all is said and done, you were 20 p[ages away from that original product you purchased and so now, you have failed to download it? Or even worse…Did you remember what that online amoxil original product was?
Have you experienced this situation more than once? Then you are afflicted with what I call the Newbie Curse.
And…what’s with the New Year’s Resolution thing?
I know what you’re thinking…all this marketing stuff has turned Marc coo-coo. Isn’t it too late to be making New Year’s Resolution?
Let me explain. you see I just celebrated another Birthday a few days ago – May 9th to be exact.
Since I’m starting a new year, I think it’s a perfect time to make My New Year’s Resolution. Some might think that’s weird but it makes perfect sense to me.
My New Year’s Resolution:
By this time next year, I will be transformed from being a Marketing Newbie to being a Successful Marketer.
I will know that I am successful because I would have exceeded the following goals:
- I will have a Minimum Income of $ 3,000.00 per month from my online business
- I will have a mailing list of at least 1,500 subscribers
- I will have 5 personal coaching students of my own
This is the year that I shed the Perpetual Newbie Label. This is the year to be rid of the Newbie Curse.
I have my Goals… I have a plan…I have a Coach and I’m Taking Action!
And so I close this post with this thought:
If today is the first day of the rest of your life, then today is a perfect day to make your New Year’s Resolution
I’m sure someone has thought of this before but if not, then hey, I’m putting my name on it.
How about you? What’s your New Year’s Resolution?
Again welcome to my blog, thanks for visiting and as always, your comments will be greatly appreciated.
Cheers
Marc

What a great blog – both in design and content. I’ve got a blog with colours and whatnot – but I really, really like the clean look you have here. It’s very newsie and makes me want to trust and take seriously what you have to day – automatically! I may be looking to change mine soon, hmmm.
You right some very sound points and Iconcur with all of them. My earnings target for this online adventure is about the same, I guess at approx £2000/mth.
But ideally, I’ll be able to set up a few other projects and start to see approx £5000/mth overall. That would make me ha-hap-happy!!!
I’ll check out your next post again soon.

Hello Jaycee,
What a pleasant surprise – the very first comment on my Blog! Sometimes, we wonder if anyone would really what we write on our blogs and when you get feedback, it’s such a great feeling.
It just shows that if you start doing the right things and apply Alex’s teachings, the pieces will start falling into place and we move closer to our goals.
Thank You for the positive feedback. I’m encouraged to continue writing and making posts. I’ve also come to the realization that I have yo leave comments when I visit other people’s blogs.
I made a quick visit to your blog and I’m impressed. I think your blog is great as well. I’m also working on my 90-day plan which is the subject of the following blogs.
I think your blog design is just fine. But if you’re interested in checking out my theme. it’s called “White House” which is I installed for free from the WP site.
By the way, I like your Tag Line on your signature, “I’m MAKING it my business”.
Cheers,
Marc
